Opening night at the Savoy ballroom

The best dance club in Harlem was called the Savoy. All sorts of people gathered there on open nights to sway their hips and clap their hands. The ballroom was 50 feet wide and 250 feet long. The Savoy unlike other clubs even provided two bandstands. That means the music kept going and never stopped. Jazz with groovy rhythm kept costumers dancing.
